It is not very common to see such unusual wind pattern.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/picospace.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/PS-16\/PastedGraphic-4.png\" alt=\"PastedGraphic 4\" title=\"PastedGraphic-4.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"549\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Update #2: <\/p>\n<p>PS-16 went in range Thurs afternoon<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/picospace.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/PastedGraphic-5.png\" alt=\"PastedGraphic 5\" title=\"PastedGraphic-5.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"510\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prediction for the next few days:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/picospace.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/NewImage1.png\" alt=\"NewImage\" title=\"NewImage.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"482\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Update #3: 7:30am Fri 15\/8<\/p>\n<p>PS-16 has done second pass of Adelaide and now will be heading back to Victoria<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/picospace.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/PastedGraphic-6.png\" alt=\"PastedGraphic 6\" title=\"PastedGraphic-6.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"426\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Updated prediction:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/picospace.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/NewImage2.png\" alt=\"NewImage\" title=\"NewImage.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"482\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Update #4: 10:30am Sat 16\/8<\/p>\n<p>Looks like there were some changes in the wind pattern, the balloon did another loop around Adelaide<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/picospace.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/PastedGraphic-10.png\" alt=\"PastedGraphic 10\" title=\"PastedGraphic-10.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"494\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Update #5: 5:30pm Sat 16\/8<\/p>\n<p>The balloon landed and was picked up by Bob VK5FO and Ray VK5RR. <\/p>\n<p>The payload was on the wet grass which killed APRS transmissions, but they did a great job with locating and retrieving the payload, using a combination of DF and software decoding to track the UHF signal.
